CONSULTANT SPOTLIGHT!
What is your “why”?
of course the usual, to make some extra money, to help save up for upcoming house maintenance expenses, but the biggest reason was to be able to do fundraisers for a local non-profit. The non-profit, 4 Paws 1 Heart, provides medical funds for abandoned and abused animals. They operate solely on donations and 99.9% of the money goes to the animals (the only non medical bill paid is a coordinator's cell phone bill, no salaries). Besides, why not join and sell? I fall more in love with the products and the people the longer I'm in it.
Tell us about your family.
I've been married to my husband, Chris, for almost 9 years. We have a dog, Max, who is our baby. Chris and I enjoy watching sports, working out, and traveling.
What do you love most about being part of such an amazing company?
I love the support and sisterhood that I've found here. I never imagined it would be like this. Everyone is so encouraging and positive, it makes the experience so much more.
What is your favorite Thirty One product and how do you use it?
Hands down, the Essential Storage Tote (I have 3 so far and plan to get more). I use them every week for grocery shopping. They hold a lot, are durable, and isn't too heavy when full. My aunt was just looking for a solution for her closet. She needed something hanging that could hold about 20 pairs of gloves. After looking at the catalog and my products, the light bulb went off - I hung an EST with shower curtain rings through the grommets. My aunt loved it and ordered one immediately!
What are you looking forward to most in the next 6 months?
I'm looking forward to doing a few home parties and really just finding different ways of using our products. I think that's the biggest key for customers is seeing other ways they could use our products. I'm also excited to go through a catalog change (I just joined end of October).
Where is your favorite place to vacation?
really, anywhere warm! Our dream is to one day have a house on St Croix in the Virgin Islands. I suppose we need to plan a trip there first! Maybe next year for our 10 year anniversary
Is there anything else you would like to share?
I would like to thank Andrea for really introducing me to Thirty-One and how it's so much more than just bags!

For this month's sales... If I was a consultant I would make about $359. Since I chose leadership I made about $674. Recruit, book, sell! RITA= Recruiting is the answer :) Think of your why... why do you love Thirty One? Why wouldn't you want others to join you in this amazing experience? I know that this business is too good to keep to myself!
When recruiting...
- Get to know her
During your one-on-one, don’t rush into telling her all about the opportunity. Ask questions that will help you identify her WHY. Listen, and resist the urge to comment on everything she says.
- Summarize What You Heard
Once you’ve identified what’s most important to her, summarize what you heard her say to confirm your understanding.
- Share your story!
Tell her why you joined and what you love about your business, but keep it short. Keep it under a minute and genuine. You want her to see herself being successful through your experience.
- Share Thirty-One Gifts with Her
Think about her WHY! What about Thirty-One Gifts matches what she is looking for in her life? Talk more about those points and less about what you like.
