End of year checkout forms will be in your box Monday. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Summer Reading Challenge

Please encourage your students to read and log their minutes! Their Super Reading chart as well as independent reading time in class can count! Mrs. Sowell has told students they would get a "cool" treat for logging minutes!

Tony's Regatta Boat Committee

We will have a "boat work session" at Adrienne's house on Monday, May 16th at 4:00 for anyone that can help! Husbands, family members, friends are welcome to help too!


Please schedule a time in your grade level where students can get their grade level classmates' signatures. We will have a school wide signing on Friday, May 20th at 9 am!

There is a copy of a "My Buddies" and "My Autographs" paper in your box for students to use that do not have yearbooks.

Eastside Elementary: My Future Story Week

This is a celebration that is designed to encourage our students to think about their educational goals, hopes and dreams. We also want to help them explore some of the different career opportunities available.

Monday, May 16th

  • Dress for Success Day Wear your gear for your future career!

Tuesday, May 17th

  • Think about it Tuesday - Students will work on future stories and drawings in their classrooms. Wear your favorite “thinking cap” to school.

Wednesday, May 18th

  • Wear It Wednesday – Wear your favorite college gear or university colors.

Thursday, May 19th

  • Tech Thursday – Students will use technology in their classroom to explore career and college websites.

  • Don’t be silly, prepare for your future! Wear silly socks today.

Friday, May 20th

  • Eastside Superhero Day -Students are welcome to dress up like a superhero. No masks. We will put a variety of materials that you are welcome to use in your classroom that are superhero themed in your box. You may do as much or as little as you would like! First Security Bank will grill out hot dogs for everyone on the back playground. The cafeteria will also be serving hot dogs that day as well. We will use our "normal" lunch schedule. Weather permitting, students will picnic on the red benches and tables. We dismiss at 2:00 that day! See the 2:00 activity schedule.

Classroom Teachers

We will meet during recess on Wednesday. We will work on getting our PGP goals entered into Bloomboard.

End of the Year Assessments

Please have your end of the year assessments into the google doc no later than Thursday, May 19th. Our interventionists must pull the data on the 20th for their end of the year reporting.

Report Cards

Elementary and Middle School

Teachers should have all grades completed and entered into their gradebook by the end of the day on Monday, May 23rd. Report cards will then be processed and printed to distribute to students on the last day of school, May 25th.

5/24- 2:00 Dismissal...K celebration @ 8:15.......4th grade graduation @ 10:00

5/25- 2:00 Dimissal......Bouncy Houses for all students....Tony's Regatta 4-6 p.m.

5/26- Meeting at Fine Arts at 8:30/ Building Meeting

5/28- Happy Birthday, Connie Payne!
