Getting closer, we going to make it.....
Chelsey and Evon had donors choose projects funded recently. Evon got over $3,200 for math and science materials as well as some neat rugs for her room. Chelsey got a project funded call "For the Love of Music" for close to $1,000. She got a video camera, case, tripod, desk tripod, 128GB memory card, 2 spare batteries, a good HDMI cord, cleaning kit, a USB port for the memory card, and screen protectors. Meg had hers funded this week. She will be able to purchase two iPads for students to use for video modeling and social skills instruction. Yesenia and Paul have two out right now. It is a great way to get some cool stuff for your room.
CLI summer institute: This will be the last summer that the program will be able to pay teachers for attending. Each week in June, there will be a first year training. Meg attended the initial institute last summer. The last week in June will be the advanced institute. This advanced institute is for those who have already done the first week. If you are interested in attending, let me know so I can let the department know to reserve space for Boone teachers. We have had the most teachers attend institute and the most attend on going training this year. Evon, Judith, Erin, Stephanie and Jennifer have all attended training this year. Boone always outshines others!
Chelesy and the 5th grade honor choir out did themselves Friday night at the Winter Showcase at Crockett. Cute pictures are below.
The Boone Bear Market was a huge success again this year. Third grade teachers ROCK!
Super glad benchmarks are done. Thanks for everyone's flexibility with needing so many folks to administer the tests.
This week the Downtown Lions Club presented Boone with a $500 check in honor of George who was a Lion with the group. Johnnie's daughter and her husband were there.
