It’s Rally Time!

Dear Families,

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

It’s rally time! We are approaching the end of our first semester of school- let’s work together to support each student to finish strong. The sense of accomplishment is shared by all of us when students succeed. And, the successful conclusion of a semester creates a solid foundation for launching into the next semester. Let’s go Vikings!

We sure have been blessed with a lot of snow - hope you have the opportunity to get outside to enjoy it. Have a wonderful weekend!

So much happening!

Getting ready for kindergarten: Early Childhood Screening is required for all children entering kindergarten and needs to be completed just one time between the ages of 3 and 5 years. Please contact us at 651-674-1220 to schedule an appointment. Upcoming screening dates include: Feb. 16, Mar. 23, Apr. 13, Apr. 27 and May 4.

Busy as bees!: Launch specialist students at the Sunrise River School have been working hard creating Bee habitats, and creating hands-on activities. Launch is an integrated science course that all Sunrise students have access to, that give students early experiences in the world of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). PLTW Launch courses are designed to complement math and science courses, and assist students with project based collaborative learning to become problem solvers.

Gearing up for the big move: North Branch Area Middle School eighth graders are beginning to make the important transition from middle school to high school. Eighth grade choir students visited the high school this week, and band students will do the same in early February. Next week, high school counselors will be visiting with eighth grade students during their Geography class. Students will be introduced to the 2023-23 NBAHS Registration Guide and will begin to think about making the most of their high school experience!

Envisioning their future!: North Branch Area High School staff are getting ready to unveil the 2023-24 Registration Guide next week. Engaging students to be active participants and not passive passengers in their high school experience is what "Choice Not Chance" is all about. The new design of the registration guide not only motivates students to envision their future, but helps guide their course selections to achieve it!
