Christmas Sharing Needs Your Help
Washington will be collecting items for Christmas Sharing again this year. Christmas Sharing is a program organized to help families living within CUSD 200 who are facing financial difficulty. Sponsored by CUSD 200, local churches, businesses, and civic organizations, this program reaches to all corners of our community.
The organizers of Christmas Sharing have expressed a special need for:
Non-perishable food
Good, gently used clothing for all ages, and especially for infants and children
Winter coats, boots, hats, scarves, mittens, and gloves for all ages
Dishes, flatware, and cooking utensils
New or gently used toys, games, and books
New underwear and socks for all ages
. Through donating food, clothing, and toys; Washington children will be able to make a difference in the lives of over 900 families in the Wheaton, Warrenville and Carol Stream area. Please make sure that any donations are either new, or in very good and usable condition.
Donations of non-perishable food and new or lightly used items should be brought to Washington School Monday, November 14 through Monday, December 4th at 9:30am for distribution by local churches. Watch for the Christmas Sharing signs and tables in the front hall of the school. Christmas Sharing is recognized as a 501(c)3 public charity making contributions deductible. . Please call Mrs. Glasser, social worker, at Washington if you have any questions. Thank you for your help!

5th Grade Students Present to PTA
Please Help Us Keep our Students Safe
- If your child walks to school, please remind him/her to watch for cars and cross President St. with the crossing guard.
- Be vigilant of children when driving close to the school and drive very slowly in the flow zone and main parking lot.
- Passing a school bus while it's stop sign is out is strictly prohibited.
- Please observe our parking lot and flow zone procedures, including during BASP pick up and drop off. The driveway by door one is an entrance, not an exit.
- Students who bring balls to use at recess should pack them in a backpack or bag. Please talk to your child about never chasing a ball into the street.
- Using a hand-held cell-phone while driving is prohibited.
- We ask that you keep dogs off school property during arrival, school hours, and dismissal.
- Please do not double and triple park in the school parking lot.
Thank you for partnering with us to keep our children safe.
