The Dangers of Fentanyl and other Opioids Presentations
The One Pill Can Kill community presentation about the dangers of Fentanyl and ways to keep our community safe is scheduled for March 1st at 6:30pm. Parents, students, staff and community members are invited to the district auditorium (at the middle school) for the presentation from KCK Police Captain and DEA Task Force officer, firefighter/paramedic, and family members who have lost loved ones.
Lansing High School students will have presentations over the recognition, dangers, and emergency steps for overdoses on March 1st. These presentations will be from a police officer and first responder. We will have additional support for students from our district Mental Health Team after the assemblies.

Student Spotlight
Sophomore Zach Mendez wins Lansing's first ever swimming state title, placing first in the 500 free in 4:46.90.
That's 3 seconds faster than his previous best and 30 seconds faster than his time at state a year ago.

A parent writes us about the fantastic support Ms. Hoverson, Mr. Ast, Mr. Shannon, and Ms. Wessel provide her student.
Ms. Hoverson is one of our interventionists and works with students to improve and keep on track to graduate. Ms. Hoverson also works with teachers to provide support for students in the classroom.
