TWEP Happenings
On February 5 the Charles Brightbill Environmental Center will be open from 2:00 - 3:00 with artwork from elementary students in the Tuscarora School District. There is no charge to visit the Center.
At 3:00 TWEP will be hosting a Live Animal program, "Birds of Prey" in the JBHS auditorium. This program will be presented by the staff of Penn State's Shaver Creek Rehab Facility. Children will get an up-close look at some beautiful birds and learn info about them as well. There is a fee for "Bird of Prey," adults -$5, children - $3. Families with a TWEP membership will be admitted with their membership.
The Center will reopen, immediately after the program.Nurse Notes

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
Now it is time to roll up our sleeves
and trek for the finish line…May!
So far I haven’t seen too much illness. We are holding our own here at Mercersburg
I’m sure that would be fine with all of you, as well as me, if it stays that way. But working with school age children, I can tell you the chances of that happening are slim.
Please keep your child home if he/she has:
· Fever
· Vomiting
· Diarrhea
Your child should not have any vomiting, diarrhea or fever for 24 hours prior to coming to school. This means that without medication your child does not have a fever.
Cough drops-If you want to be sure that your child will have cough drops when needed, please send in a bag and I will put your child’s name on it.
Clothing-Every day I see numerous spills and children who just couldn’t “make it”.
I try to provide clean, dry clothes but I don’t always have the right sizes. If anyone has elastic band pants that you are going to get rid of, please send them my way. They do not need to be in perfect condition. Just enough to get a child out of wet clothes for the day. I appreciate your help!
