Hurricane Patricia
By Toni and Iris
Patricia
Patricia is the strongest hurricane ever recorded at sea.
Patricia
Potentially deadly hurricane Patricia has caused thousands of people to be evacuated from luxury beach resorts in Mexico. This hurricane mostly hit Texas. Thankfully this hurricane has passed, but many have been injured. During a short span of time, hurricane Patricia was the strongest hurricane ever recorded. As it went on it slowly got weaker but it was still very dangerous to man kind.
Weather
Patricia is crushing 314 km/h. Some waves have been taller than 40feet in height, sustained winds have uprooted trees and toppled over power lines, and heavy rains have unleashed massive mudslides. Hurricane Patricia has not only caused damage itself, but it has also created mudslides and flooding. Because of this, many have been evacuated from their homes and have been moved into a safer place. The main concerns right now are the flooding and not knowing when it will be safe enough for people to go back to their homes.
Hurricanes
A hurricane is a storm with a violent wind, in particular a tropical cyclone in the Caribbean, that can be very dangerous to all of man kind. The hole in the middle of the hurricane is called "the eye", also know as the centre of the hurricane. The eye of the storm is calm, even though winds can extremely strong.
