Purses - larger than a clutch bag

Mesh bags
Diapers and other baby supplies can be carried into the stadium in a clear bag. Infant formula, milk, or medicine needing refrigeration is allowed in a small soft-side cooler, and is subject to search at the gate. For additional information, please check out the image below.

Southwood Academy's YCI
YCI is starting back up at Southwood Academy of the Arts! YCI, Youth Commission International, is a Christian organization that talks about God and fellowship. YCI is 7:30 am every Thursday in the Performance Arts Center, and Mr. Pendergrass (the 8th grade science teacher) is the supervisor. There will be games and snacks. All are welcome!
Creative Writing Club
Tuesday, September 13th marked the start of the new Creative Writing Club, which meets every Tuesday morning in Miss Paradis's classroom! Students who attended worked on a short piece of literature about something that happened to them that morning. There were no guidelines, so everyone had the freedom to write in any form or style.
Games Club
*There will be no Games Club on Wednesday, September 21st because of the Book Fair.

Cafeteria News
1. Breakfast and lunch is not free for all students this year. We encourage all students to apply for free/reduced meals. Applications are available in the cafeteria, or can be completed online using this link. However, even if a student does not qualify for free/reduced meals, they can always eat breakfast and/or lunch. The charge will go onto their account, and the parent/guardian will be required to pay off this charge as soon as possible.
2. Students can purchase meals and extra sales items with cash, checks deposited onto their account, or funds deposited into their account online. Students cannot purchase extra sales if their account balance is negative. To view your child’s balance or make payments on their account, visit this site. You will need your child’s student account number to create an account/log in and view their meal account.
3. For breakfast and lunch, students are required to take at least 3 items, 1 of which must be a fruit or vegetable choice. There are multiple fruit and veggie choices available daily, and students are encouraged to choose as many of them as they wish!
4. For any questions that students have, we encourage them to come ask us! Our staff is here to help with any of our students’ needs.

Books Unite Us
The American Library Association celebrates Banned Book week once a year in September. It was started in 1982 to remind us of everyone’s right to read. The theme is “books unite us, censorship divides us.” This year, Southwood Academy has a book fair going on, so students will be shopping at the book fair throughout the week. Students are celebrating their right to read with the opportunity to add a book or two to their home bookshelves!
