Principal's Message
Sunny Heights Families,
Next week all of our 3rd and 4th grade students will be taking the statewide ILEARN assessment. It is very important that efforts are made to make sure all students are in attendance at school every day and on time. A reminder that the school day begins at 8:05am. It is also helpful if you avoid making appointments of any kind during the morning hours (8:00-11:00am) as that is when the majority of testing is taking place.
Also, as the spring weather arrives and many are being vaccinated, we must remember that we are not clear of the COVID-19 risk. It is VERY important that if your child is sick, has multiple symptoms, or is a close contact of someone that has tested positive for COVID0-19 that you do not send them to school. We continue to follow the Warren S.A.F.E. Reopening Plan which you can find on the district website (www.warren.k12.in.us). Students and staff are still required to wear masks as all times in the building.
Thank you and have a great weekend!
Your Proud Principal,
Bart Lewis

ALL STUDENTS - ATTENDANCE
For the 2020-2021 school year, Warren Township has transitioned to a new student information system called Synergy allowing our parents and caregivers to have improved access to school information through the parent portal called ParentVUE. We are aware that at this time some students’ attendance records are reflecting students are absent, when in fact they were present. This is mostly the case for our students who are attending school VIRTUALLY on application days or in the VIRTUAL opinion full-time. We want to assure you that teachers are keeping accurate attendance records and that we are working to correct attendance records for all our students.
