Participants will live in a sorority facility at Indiana University for the duration of the program, and will be challenged throughout their experience to think differently about fraternity and sorority. Graduates of UIFI leave the experience with a blueprint action plan on how they want to make positive change within their communities.

Successful applicants are able to choose one of of nine different national sessions taking place throughout the summer in May, June, and July. Participants will be responsible for their own travel.

Ohio University Capital Internship Program
President Nellis has reached out to student leaders in order to share an exciting learning and professional development opportunity – the Ohio University Capital Internship Program. Applications are being accepted until Sunday, March 24, 2019.
This opportunity was created a year ago to provide a small group of OHIO students with the chance to gain valuable experience working in Washington, D.C. Student interns from the previous cohort worked in the office of a Member of Congress or with a Congressional Committee, with anticipated similar internship opportunities this fall.
The program is co-directed by Dr. Geoff Dabelko, professor and associate dean in the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs and Dr. Sarah Poggione, chair of Political Science in College of Arts and Sciences. It is administered by the University’s Office of Global Opportunities.
This is a really exciting, hands-on internship program in our nation’s capital, and serves as a model for experiential learning. Please do not hesitate to visit the Ohio University Capital Internship Program online for additional details regarding the overall application process, program costs and eligibility requirements.
