P-Town Soup at FELC-June 27

Thursday, June 27--6pm-8pm

Join Peoria Community Against Violence as they host P-Town Soup at FELC on Thursday, June 27 from 6pm to 8pm. The Outreach Committee will be on hand to help with the meal as well as hospitality for our guests, but it would be wonderful to have a large number of people from FELC in attendance to support this event. The soup is made by a local chef, and from all reviews, it is fantastic.

Everyone is invited to this innovative way to improve our community. PCAV will host a meal at no cost to those who attend, which includes soups, side, rolls, desserts and drinks.

A donation of $5 per person at the door is requested. Your $5 donation to P-Town Soup equals a vote. We will listen to 4 (pre-selected individuals/groups/programs) about their idea to better the City of Peoria. All those with a vote will then select who they feel should receive all the donated funds from the night’s event. The winner of this P-Town soup will come back to the next P-Town Soup and explain and/or show how they used the winning donations.

Blessing the Animals During Worship Service

Blessing of the Animals

Sunday, July 14th, 2019 at 11am

At the contemporary service on July 14th we will worship outdoors in the church lawn--with the animals we love!

All animals are welcome to join us; if you have an animal that wouldn't do well outdoors or in a group of people and other animals, consider bringing a photo of the animal you love.

Our worship with Holy Communion and Animal Blessing will be slightly shorter and informal enough to welcome animals that may need movement or decide to contribute to the joyful noise of praise to our God. We believe that God gives us animals as company on the Way, and that God creates and sustains all life...and it is good!

Come, celebrate the diversity of creatures.

New Group this Summer: Walking the Grief Journey

Walking the Grief Journey
