HAPPY THANKSGIVING

NO CLASSES FOR STUDENTS - NOVEMBER 25-27

NO CROC TALK BRIEF NEWSLETTER NEXT FRIDAY

PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE by MONICA ARBOW

Dear Nancy Ryles,

Next week, we have a short week due to Thanksgiving break. Students will attend classes on Monday and Tuesday, and then we will be on Thanksgiving break for the remainder of the week.

All year long, but especially during this season, we are grateful for our amazing students who are working extremely hard in distance learning. We couldn’t be more proud of their resilience. We are grateful to work with a staff that supports one another and feels like family. We are grateful for parents who are working harder than ever to keep things as “normal” as possible and for supporting students with distance learning. We are grateful for our NRCO who has continued to support Nancy Ryles both financially and with their time and talents. We have parent volunteers: delivering food and supplies to families, volunteering to put together student supply packs, creating enrichment projects for Wonder Wednesdays, keeping the Green Team alive, and providing donations for the Season of Giving. We appreciate you standing by our Nancy Ryles school as we educate in a way that we never have before. Our community has never been as important as it is right now, and I am so honored to lead a school community that helps and supports one another the way that Nancy Ryles does. Our Croc Pride is shining through.

Happy Thanksgiving, Nancy Ryles. May your table be filled with family and gratitude this season. We look forward to welcoming students back to distance learning on Monday, November 30.

All the best,

Monica Arbow

Principal

P.S. If you haven't voted in the December Great Debate or taken part in the Favorite Meal Challenge, you have until Tuesday, November 24!! See details below.

MARATHON KIDS

Beaverton School District is excited to announce its partnership with Marathon Kids; a running club that will be available to your student. Here at Nancy Ryles, we are encouraging our students to start with the 1 mile Turkey Trot. You can register your student using the email that was sent out on November 19, 2020.

Marathon Kids mission is to get kids moving, one lap at a time, at the pace they choose. Walk, run, jog those laps until they have earned the goals they have set for themselves.

Attached is some information as well as a suggested route around Nancy Ryles!

Any amount is so helpful!
