What a week!! Big wins all around for the boys! They are hitting stride as we enter the toughest part of our schedule.

If you were able to come out Monday night, you got your money's worth! The seventh grade boys SWEPT HMS, and the A team did so in dramatic form, scoring the go ahead TD with only 14 seconds left!

8th grade B team overcame a ton of adversity to come away with a win. The A team couldn't quite get going and lost a tough game 22-14.

Players of the Game

Each week will select players from the game that stand out in certain aspects of the team. We will try and find an Offensive, Defensive, and Special Teams' Player to lend a special Horseshoe to every week that the boys will carry around and show off that they were this weeks stand out player. Those players will also be the captains for next week's games! Sometimes a player may not stand out in one of the three aspects, and in lieu of keeping the award special, we may not give out the award for the sake of giving it.

7TH C TEAM SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE GAME - none

7TH C TEAM OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE GAME - Caden miller

Caden made plays all night with his arm, and legs. He led the attack for his team on offense with a surgical like approach. Great Job!

7TH C TEAM DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE GAME - Grant Ghormley

Ghormley was a hard hitter all night on defense and never slowed down! He was in on so many tackles on defense.

7th B Team Offensive Player of the game - Carson Witten

Carson was able to pull in a difficult pass and then turn it in to an unbelievable score. He got our offense jump-started with that score!

7th B Team Defensive Player of the game- Tommy Turner

During the middle of the play, and middle of a stood up pile, Tommy ripped the ball from the defender and ran it all the way back for a defensive TD!

7th B Team Special Teams Player of the game- None

7th A Team Offensive Player of the game - AJ Smith

AJ made some of the most unreal throws while under duress late in the game to bring us all the way back to win the game!

7th A Defensive Player of the game - Sean Fanning

In need of a momentum changer while HMS was driving to put up at least their 20th point, Sean stepped in front of a pass and intercepted it to set up a one play TD drive to start the comeback.

7th A Special Teams Player of the game - Grant Isbell

Grant was given an opportunity and made the most of it! We needed to move some pieces around, and that gave Grant the opening to kick, and he was a weapon in keeping HMS away from the end zone

8th B Team Defensive Player of the game - Jacob "Scrap" Maserang

Scrap played one of the closest to perfect schematically games I've seen on defense in a LONG time! The things he was doing showed he was dialed in. He was a huge part in our win Tuesday

8th B Team Offensive Player of the game- Chase Panno

Chase had to go up over a defender for a ball, and not only did he make the catch, he went from a stand still and out ran the rest of the defense to score a TD to reverse the aura of the game.

8th A Special Teams Player of the game - Ethan Michael

Ethan did something that is quick and often times is unrecognized. Ethan was able to block a kick that showed his GRIT to not ever give up. Him blocking that kick kept his team emotionally motivated to stay in the game.

8th A Offensive Player of the game - Alex Boydstun

Tonight was Alex's night, and he wasn't going to let this opportunity slip. He was making catches that we HAD to have to keep us in the game. Even to the end of the game, Alex made a catch that should not have happened, but he knew his coaches believed in him to go make a play. Falling out of bounds, Alex was able to get the ball across the plane of the goal line to draw us within one score.

8th A Defensive Player of the game - None
