Grandparents Bazaar
This year the grandparents made the Grandparents' Bazaar fun and eventful by selling nice antiques and handy items to all who wanted to shop. The grandparents sold delicious snacks and cakes to the students and adults at Piedmont. Other items that were up for grabs were unique Christmas and Halloween decorations, adult clothing, cute handbags, and nice furniture, along with toys and clothing for the children. This year the grandparents hosted a raffle was $10 a ticket. It was a 50/50 raffle: whoever wins gets half of the money that the grandparents raise. The bazaar opened on October 26th and ended on the 28th. We appreciate the support and hard work of the Grandparents' club.

Devotion
But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds, we are healed.
Isaiah 53:5
Jesus is very important to me. I decided that I wanted to dig deeper into just how big of a sacrifice His death on the cross was. First off, Jesus was perfect. He should have never died a brutal death; He was sinless and wonderful, and He deserved everything great. For you and me, He was killed. It is difficult to imagine someone living a sinless life is you consider how many times a day the average person commits a sin; even thinking a bad thought about someone is a sin. Jesus was the only person to ever walk this planet that did not do something wrong.
In verse 7 of Isaiah, it is said, “He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth.” He had no deceit. He should not have died, but he did. He did not have to make this sacrifice for us, but he did anyway. John 15:13 says, “There is no greater love than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” He did it because He loves us. Today, be happy and be thankful for the sacrifice we were given.

Elementary Field Trip
The K-3, K-4, and K-5 went on a field trip to Mitcham’s Farm in Oxford, Georgia on October 18th. Julie Tucker, Toni White, Amy Owens, and multiple parents also joined the children on this trip. The activities everyone enjoyed were train rides, picking pumpkins, shucking corn, tasting honey, trampoline jumping, entering and escaping a corn maze, and going on a hayride. Paisley Deck’s favorite activity was getting to milk the cow. The children also read a story! The book was called Spookley the Square Pumpkin. Mrs. Julie asked Harper Tanner what he learned on the trip, and he said, “I learned that Spookley the pumpkin wanted to be a square forever.” The field trip was very enjoyable for all of the young students. Mrs. Julie said, “The children had a blast! It was a beautiful fall trip.”
