Electronic Device Reminder
Dear Families,
As we have seen an increase in Smart Phones and Smart Watches in our school, we want to remind families and students of the language in our Student Handbook regarding electronic devices during the school day.
CELL PHONE, ELECTRONIC DEVICES AND VALUABLE ITEMS – #IJNDB The use of electronic communication devices are prohibited in the Mansfield Public Schools during the school day. If a student is using electronic communication devices during the school day, the equipment may be confiscated, secured in the main office and returned to the student or their parent/guardian. Electronic communication devices must be turned off and stored in student backpacks during the school day. Parents/guardians are asked to keep anything of value at home. These items can become a distraction in the classroom and may be lost or damaged. The Mansfield Public Schools will not be held financially responsible if a device or valuable item is lost or stolen.
We realize students have devices to be able to communicate with families for various reasons, particularly around dismissal plans. Please know that students are able to come to the office during the day to use the office phone, if needed.
This does not apply to students who need electronic devices for medical reasons.

CHORUS - FEBRUARY 9
We are excited to share that the 4th and 5th grade chorus concert will be filmed by Mansfield Cable on Wednesday, February 9. The filming will take place in the morning during the school day. Mansfield Cable will do some editing and we will share the performance with the JJ community and families the following week. Just keep an eye out for a link.
Children who participate in chorus will receive their chorus T-shirts the morning of the February 9 right before we film. Chorus students should be in comfortable shoes, pants/skirts and wear their masks.
