Register Now - Recognition Program & Picnic in the Park

Join us on Monday, September 27, 6:00pm. We encourage all members and families to attend. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy a free picnic dinner. Members and their families will be invited to enjoy a picnic in the Historical Village park at the fairgrounds prior to moving to the grandstands for the recognition program! Bring your favorite yard game to share. 4-H members who filled out the online award forms will receive special recognition at this event.

Helpers Needed at the Recognition Program

4-H members and adult volunteers are needed to pull off this great event! If you have registered to attend the Recognition Program and Picnic in the Park, and would like to help out that night, consider signing up for a helpful role at the program. 4-H Meetings and Health Guidelines

Don't forget that all 4-H clubs are required to follow the Ohio 4-H guidelines for in-person meetings and events. In addition to the Ohio 4-H guidelines, clubs must follow state/local health department COVID guidance, if issued.

4-H Council Meeting

The Franklin County 4-H Council is a representative group of 4-H club advisors that meet most months throughout the year on the third Wednesday of the month to provide counsel, advice, and recommendations for the Franklin County 4-H Program. They also help to fund, plan, and facilitate programming for 4-H youth. Each 4-H club in Franklin County is encouraged to have at least one representative attend the meetings and participate. The next meeting is Wednesday, September 15, at 7:00pm.

CARTEENS Teen Opportunity

4-H CARTEENS is a program taught to teens by teens to help reduce the number of second time traffic offenders in Ohio. All participants that you will be teaching have been mandated by the courts to attend.


We are currently looking for 4-H'ers and other youth who have at least a learner’s permit to present at CARTEENS. Benefits of becoming involved in CARTEENS are:

- You can receive service credits which can be used for graduation.

- College scholarships are available for active CARTEENS presenters

- Fun! Friends! A chance to brush up on your public speaking skills!

4-H Volunteer/Club Advisor Orientation

Are you or someone you know interested in becoming a 4-H Volunteer and helping a 4-H Club? 4-H Advisors must be screened Ohio 4-H Volunteers. This process takes several steps. One of which is to attend an orientation. Two are currently scheduled for the 2021-2022 4-H year.
