Basics of Baroque
- Baroque musicians developed their skills from being an apprentice-mentor relationship or from family. Composers trained new musicians and wrote music, this way they learned from teaching as well. Musicians were often for the opera houses, because operas really became popular in the Baroque era.
- During the Baroque era, there were international musical styles that had never existed before. In the renaissance, the composers composed songs to fit the style of their country, but in the Baroque era, the Composers made songs that fit the style of other countries as well, forming unprecedented international styles.
- Baroque era music was very magnificent, however, there is also music for the middle class that is much less intricate. The instruments during the era were string instruments such as a violin, trumpets, land large kettle drums.
- The Baroque era made instrumental music mainstream and was the first time when instrumental songs were listened to widespread.
- Baroque musicians were highly demanded because of the reciprocally high demand for new music for special occasions and such. Music during this era was most popular in church because that is where most people were freely exposed to music. Churches staffed an orchestra, choir, and an organist.
