Elmdale Early Years School
January Newsletter 2017- HAPPY NEW YEAR!
As December winds down, we had the opportunity to watch our wonderful Christmas Concert. Thank you to Ms. Redekop for all the time in planning the concert and working with our students to prepare for the excellent event.
Moving forward into January, we are excited to welcome Mrs. Colleen Watchorn as a guest artist in our school. She will be working with all our students from January 9th to the 20th. Each year that Mrs. Watchorn comes to work with our students, the art work that our students create always looks unique and amazing.
Again, I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays and also a Happy New Year.
Mr. Colin Campbell
Principal: Elmdale School
On behalf of all the teachers at Elmdale School, we would like to say a huge thank you to all of those families that sent food items along with their students in support of our Community Christmas food drive. Altogether we were able to collect 841 items! It was great seeing the boxes fill up in the classrooms as excited students put various items in to help support our community. All your contributions were greatly appreciated!
Episode #2 Home Reading Anywhere
Thank you to Mrs. Reimer who has directed the Home Reading Video series this year. Further thanks goes out to all the families that have volunteered their time as live actors in these videos. If you are interested in participating in these video series, please email Mrs. Reimer at firstname.lastname@example.org

During the month of January there will be two groups of students heading off to Providence College with Mr. Campbell to play some games in the gym with their student athletes.
During the month of December we had an increase in the number of volunteers in our building helping out with Christmas crafts and baking treats for classroom celebrations. Thank you so much for all the time and energy that our volunteers put in at Elmdale Early Years School.
