A Message From The Principals
Sandy Bermea - Principal
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope everyone is well after the winter storm we endured. I am so happy to have the children back to school. If you have any pictures from the Valentine’s Day Challenge, please send them to your child’s teacher. We have Read Across America, Spring Break, and testing coming up in March. I appreciate your support in following all procedures and protocols to keep our students and staff safe.
It’s a Great Day to be a Panther!!!

Hello all,
I would like to remind parents and guardians that if your child or children are sick to please keep them home. If there are any household members being tested for COVID please keep everyone home until the results are back and inform me via email or phone. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website “Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:
Fever or chills
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Fatigue
Muscle or body aches
Headache
New loss of taste or smell
Sore throat
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea
I have been seeing children in the clinic with a need for a change of clothes. My suggestion is to keep a change of clothes in their backpack in case there is an accident and they need to change. This would help the student to get back to class in a timely manner. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding your children’s health. Thank you for all your support.
Sincerely,
Christie Neuman, RN

March Is Reading Month!
March is actually National Reading Month, and this month reading is celebrated in schools across the country. Join us in the celebration and help your child realize how much fun reading can be. Here are a few suggestions to get you started:
1. Take an extra trip to the library to pick out some fun books or just spend some extra time either listening to your child read a book of their choice or reading some favorites to your child.
2. Have fun drawing or acting out scenes from a book or turn the whole book into a play or comic book.
3. Have a family competition to see who can read the most books, pages, chapters, etc. and let the winner plan all of their favorites for dinner one night. Or set a family reading goal and plan a surprise if you reach it. Whatever you decide, just make READING fun!
