Homecoming Lunch Count!
Friday, October 8th we will be dismissing three hours early for Homecoming. Lunch will still be served to all students, but in order to get an accurate count for lunch we would like for you to indicate if your child will be having a school lunch on October 8th.

Attendanace Matters
Each month our staff will review attendance percentages from our student body. We will send letters to any student who has an atendance average below 90%. Currently we have 88% of our students with an attendance average above 90%. It is our bulding goal to get this percentage above 90% for the year.
We will also be tracking students who are tardy to school and checked out early from school. Being tardy and/or checked out early adds a disruption to the students' school day and also their class as a whole. Students will be counted tardy if they arrive after 8:50 or are checked out before 3:50. If a child receives 10 of more tardies, or are checked out early the parent will need to meet with administration to create a plan for improved attendance.
Thank you for partnering with our school and having your child at school every day that they are healthy and ready to learn.

PCR-3 Community Advisory: Apply by October 29
Platte County School District recognizes the importance of community input to help set the future direction of our schools.
We are launching the PCR-3 Community Advisory to gather volunteers who will have an ongoing role to review the District’s progress toward its Comprehensive Strategic Improvement Plan (CSIP) goals, as well as to provide input regarding the District's general operation and specific issues impacting education activities and programs.
This group will review, discuss, monitor, and advise on a variety of topics including the academic calendar, long-range facility plan, fraud and audit, safety and security, attendance area boundaries, facility naming, technology, equity and inclusion, character education, health and wellness, and additional topics requested by the Board of Education. The group will meet quarterly, or more regularly as needed, to complete specific tasks.
Any District resident, employee, or student may participate in the ongoing work of this group. PCR-3 hopes to have a full membership of 75 or more members. A PCR-3 Community Advisory Steering Committee will be composed of 8-10 District residents who represent a broad cross-section of PCR-3 parents and citizens with at least two representatives from each of PCR-3’s attendance areas. Steering Committee members will additionally meet in advance of full membership meetings.
If interested in serving on this advisory as a General Member or Steering Committee Member, please complete the application linked below by October 29.

COVID-19 Quarantine Guidance and Data
Please see the attached quarantine guidance for students or staff members who are identified as a close contact to a person with COVID-19. The graphic outlines the requirements if all parties are appropriately masked, as well as if they are not. These quarantine procedures are in alignment with directives from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Platte County Health Department (PCHD).
We will post numbers of reported COVID-19 cases and close contacts in our District on our website, displaying data from the previous seven days, as well as 7-day rolling average information. These cases will include staff and students, and will only include those reported to the District.
