The Deuce Weekly Updates
Promise Academy II High School
Week #3 1/23/17-1/27/17
Good Morning Team & Happy Monday!! J
This week officially ends the third marking period and Term 1, which means we are officially half way through the school year! Please make sure you take time to review and post your grades this week, especially considering it will be a busy one!
Our first set of regents exams for this school year will begin this Tuesday. We have a number of our scholars testing this week, so please make sure we are giving them words of encouragement to help push them through these next couple of days. The proctoring and grading schedule has already been shared out. Feel free to email the leadership team if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
This Tuesday we will have our first parent meeting of 2017. Our guidance team has worked extremely hard to make sure our families are updated with important academic information as we enter the second half of our school year. The parent meeting will take place from 5:30pm to 7:30. This will be a great opportunity to reconnect with our families and provide any important updates.
A select group of our scholars will have an opportunity to visit Google headquarters and attend the Morgan Stanley Workshop and hosted by our career services team. Both workshops are geared towards giving our students an opportunity to interact with professionals, learn about specific careers and begin networking. We are excited for both opportunities, and look forward to hearing about the exposures from our scholars.
Shout out to last week's MVP, Mr. Murray!!! He has been consistently following up with unexcused late students so that his colleagues could mark it appropriately. That shows great teamwork and dedication to our school culture. Keep it up!
Sincerely,
Blount & H
