Tustumena Elementary Newsletter
March 7, 2017
Spring Break is here!! Don't forget to set your clocks back this weekend.
Yes, even though you think we will have an entire week off, we will not. We will be coming back with one hour less rest than you may think. But I will take it!! What a great Winter we have had. I don't know what the Spring will bring but I hope it is in line with the rest of the year.
Report cards will be coming home March 20, 2017 which means our teachers will be busy this Friday making sure they have them done. The teachers may be moving a little slow on Friday though because Thursday afternoon we will be taking on the 6th graders in our annual basketball game. As one of the charming sixth graders put it when I mentioned we (the teachers) are taller, she simply said, "Ya, but you are getting older." Perhaps I should have given that student detention, but... she was right. Hahaha, we shall see how it turns out.
Please be certain to keep in close contact with your child's teacher this Spring. If you have had a child in school before, you know how fast the Spring flies by.
Be sure to check out the "Coming Events," for any changes in our Spring schedule.
Thank you and have a great Spring Break.

Is coming back
May 10th and 11th.
Many of you already know...
You may already know that I also have the pleasure of being the administrator of Cooper Landing and Hope Schools. From time to time, I may include links on this newsletter that may be of interest to you. For example, below you will find a link to the new 2017 Upper Kenai Visitors Guide. This may be of interest to you especially if you have company this summer from out of the area.
Thanks
