Summer time news from Clark!
July 2022
Celebrations!
Isabella and Langley Elg have had a fun summer! Langley and Dad vacationed at the “Anaheim 2022 Star Wars Convention” and attended lectures by some of the Creators/Stars. Harrison Ford even made a surprise appearance! Isabella spent 2 weeks touring Georgia while camping, hiking & horse back riding in the Smoky Mountains. The last stop was Savannah before returning home to begin as a volunteer setting up brand new library at Hope Center.
Evan McCarthy has been making a difference AND enjoying some time this summer. Through his service to the United Way, he created a food map of places in Martin County where those in need could find food resources. Stay tuned for the reveal! He also got to join some peers on a European adventure learning about history up close and personal.
We love seeing what our families are up to while they are not with us!

School Lunch changes for 22-23
A federal program that has provided children with free meals throughout the pandemic has expired. As a result of this expiration, the Martin County School District will resume its pre-pandemic operations for school meals in August 2022:
Breakfast and lunch will still be available to all students; however, they will no longer be free to all students. Parents/guardians of Clark students will need to complete a Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application to qualify for free or reduced-price meals. Students who do not qualify for free or reduced-priced meals will pay for school meals according to the following schedule:
Lunch- $2.10 or reduced price $.40
**BONUS** The Martin County School District will pay for all students to eat free the first 3 days of school (August 10-12). Please complete a free/reduced-price meal application for your family if you believe your child(ren) is/are eligible for free or reduced-price meals. The application will be available in mid-July.
