Hello, Mustangs!

What an exciting week this has been!!! The Book Fair has been a blast! Its last day is on Monday, September 18, and it will close at 1:00 p.m. I do hope you and your guests enjoyed our special events, Grits for Grands and Family Night. Reading is the key to success and so starting with great reading material is the first step. Thank you to our Media Specialist, Emily Black, our Media Assistant, Lisa Frazier, our Cafeteria Staff, and our wonderful VOLUNTEERS! It takes teamwork to make such a week a huge success. Thank YOU!

Also, many thanks to those who have participated in our PTO Fall Fundraiser! You are the heart of who we are so this support is truly appreciated! If you forgot to send your donation, please don't hesitate to send it on Monday as they will be wrapping up the deposits and calculating next steps in supporting our wonderful students and teachers. Thank you to ALL!

As you have already guessed safety and communication are very important to me. You have handled not having a crossing guard/traffic director very well. As I have watched buses and daycare leave each afternoon, I heave a sigh of great relief and feel blessed to have such caring and patient drivers. Thank you as we maintain the safety of all children and drivers!

Have a wonderful weekend and read some of those great books you just purchased! Hope to see you at Movie Night!

Yours truly,

Jan Fickling, Principal of Midway Elementary

IMPORTANT:

Wednesday, September 20, is our first Collaborative Planning with early dismissal at 11:40 a.m. Both breakfast and lunch will be served.
