A Message From Our Principal
Greetings,
I would like to commend all our faculty and staff as well as our community for the great work they are doing. I know it isnโt easy, whether your children are working virtually or are here in school two days a week, but we are all making it happen. From parents filling out health screening forms each day to teachers giving the best to their students daily, this is certainly a group effort.
As the number of covid cases continue to rise in the state, it is so important that we monitor ourselves and our children. As we continue to say, if you are sick, stay home. I am looking forward to this being a part of the past and life returning to normal one day!
We have some great postseason athletic play happening. Football and fall cheerleading will finish their season tonight at Millville. Cross Country ended their season with their last competition this past Saturday at Dream Park. The boys & girls soccer teams had a great season, and our Field Hockey team continues in the tournament to the sectional finals tomorrow at Ocean City.
NJSIAA Sports Advisory Task Force shared with schools a change in the dates for Winter Sports. Also continuing to say based on the governor's indoor orders, no fans would be permitted during the indoor winter season:
Basketball and Bowling May start practice Jan. 11. Competition to start Jan. 26 - Mar. 6.
Swimming and WInter Track start practice Feb. 1. Competition to start Feb. 16 - Mar. 27
Volleyball and Wrestling start practice Mar. 1. Competition to start Mar. 16- Apr. 24.
This past weekend during a soccer game, EHT Renaissance crowned our 2020 Homecoming queen. Thanks to all the students who voted and the parents and friends who escorted our nominees. Congratulations to all the girls who participated and the 2020-21 Homecoming Queen Mariah Stephens.
Have an awesome weekend! Until next week, stay safe, be well, continue to dream of the possibilities ahead of us, be happy and smile at someone!
Ms. Connor
STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
Students of the Week
Students: Gigi Gentile, Dayna Dinh, and John Orbe
Nominated By: Mrs. Herman
These students are the best! A few weeks ago, on a Friday afternoon, they willingly volunteered to come to a Meet, to help me with getting set up with the tech to prepare for the return to school. They stayed for about 20 minutes helping me set up the camera to the board, pairing my Bluetooth headset, and even worked on problems to help me out! They are truly the best and deserve to be recognized :)
