Halloween
Our grand entrance will take place at 10:30. Students will be called down to the gym as if it were a shelter in place, sit accordingly. I will give them a Project Team update, we will discuss Halloween safety, and I will put on a short video. During this time anyone who is participating as a emoji should be getting ready. We will assemble in the library, and parade through the gym.
For our afternoon parades: Have your class in the gym, lined up at least 5 minutes prior to your parade time. A nice touch would be to have a sign with your class name, so parents know which class is parading. You can make a sign, or just take the one from the hallway outside your door. If you do that, please put it back following the parade.
Preschool & Kindergarten- 1:00
Grades 1 & 2- 1:15
Grades 3 & 4- 1:30
The children will exit the gym, enter the fenced in area, parade around. Preschool and kindergarten can go once (but make sure it's slow and everyone gets to see you!) Grades 1-4 will take two laps. There will be cones and helpers inside the fence to assist. Following the parade you will reenter the gym and make your way back to your class for the festivities.
Students will bring their costumes to school and dress prior to the parade. Any costume that is safe for the bus may be worn home. Any child who has a costume that might be unsafe for the bus should change back into the clothes they came to school in. For example, if a child has a princess costume with a long train, or a blow-up sumo wrestler those would not be ideal for the bus.
Any questions, please ask... the sooner the better!
