Elementary Spring/Summer Edition

Breezing Through End-of-Year Procedures

All of us struggle with getting all those tasks done at the end of the year! Here are some tips to assist you with the closing of the school year.

  • Ask your librarian for your inventory lists during the first week of May.
  • Start gathering overdue slips for your students who are missing books. Begin reminding and collecting overdue books. Competitions and/or incentives could be helpful.
  • Talk with your principal and librarian if you are retiring, transferring, or switching grade levels/subjects. This will help with collecting materials for reassignment.
  • Label your laptop if you do not plan on checking it out for the summer. This will help ensure you receive the same laptop in August/September.

The following books will be an excellent addition to your library shelves. They support the curriculum, and can be enjoyed by both students and teachers.
