is a specialized form of sales promotion that is found near, on, or next to a checkout counter (the "point of sale") and the previous conveyor belt. They are intended to draw the customers' attraction to products, which may be new products, or on special offer.
ex; the packs of gum and candy by the register when you go to check out at a store.

A special event is a gathering of people designed to celebrate, sell, honor, discuss, teach about, observe, encourage, or influence human endeavors. An event is something that happens, an occurrence, especially one that is of some importance.
