ECLC Class News
Week of 2/8-2/12
What we did this week ...
Our centers and books were about Valentine's Day. I read the books Clifford's Valentine's Day and The Best Valentine Ever.
Teri read There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Rose, while I was at a meeting. She gave each student a picture of an item that the old lady ate. She asked them to stand in the order that the items were eaten. They enjoyed this activity, and some of the kids called this "a play." The picture at the bottom of the newsletter, is when they were standing in the order of the story.
For our centers, the students played beginning sound bingo, created sight words and did a Valentine's Day counting activity.

Other things we did this week ....
In phonics, the students tapped out sounds to make words. The practiced writing the letters E and F in their handwriting books. They used magnetic boards to identify a letter, based upon its sound.
We did a review of our learned sight words this week.
The video below, is one the students enjoyed during our Go Noodle time.
Enjoy the long weekend. Have a nice Valentine's Day!
