Introduction
My research project is about Ancient Greece. The first topic is the beginning of Ancient Greece and they used gold and bronze to make pottery and paintings. The second topic is Athens, Rise Of Power and Athens became the richest capital. the final topic is about the Slavery In Athens and if a slave pays for his work he could buy his freedom.
The Beginning Of Ancient Greece
Greeks came from east of the caspian sea. When they came to Ancient Greece they were still barbarians. They used gold and bronze to make pottery and paintings. The people who lived in greek cities had palaces. The greeks plundered and destroyed aegean cities.
Athens, Rise Of Power
Athens transformed from provincial city to a imperial capital. Athens were the richest capital. Lots of people came to Athens. The statesman Themistocles saw navel strength, not land strength. Athens took Greek cities and defeated Persia and became an Athenian Empire.
Slavery in Ancient Greece
Large part of the population were not free. Two-Fifths were slaves. Slaves gave the people time and money to pursue art and learning. If a slave pays for his work he could buy his freedom. He was called metic a resident alien. Most slaves couldn't buy their freedom, worked in silver mines, horrible conditions, dim light, tiny lamps.
Conclusion
My research about Ancient Greece is that slavery is popular in Greek time. The first topic is about the Greek cities became a country. The second topic is about Athens getting a lot of power. The final topic is about slavery in a lot of cities. I learned about Ancient Greece is that slavery was no good in Greek time.
