Our Week In Pictures
Mrs. Longoria's 1st grade class uses magic pencils to practice their letters in the air before attempting them with pencil.
Miss. Adkins' 1st grade class talks about a number in many different ways to include what it looks like in coins and tally marks.
Greater Than, Less Than
Mrs. Culbreth's class focuses on eating big numbers. Her students had fun using the smart board and pac-man to eat the greater number and leave the smaller number behind.
Do the Month Macarena!
PK students in Mrs. Arredondo's class learn the months through movement each morning.
We had so much fun with our dress up days this week. I think Hawaiian was our favorite!
Mrs. Boyles' class worked on identifying and sorting shapes.
Miss Adkins' class was living the Aloha life on Hawaiian day!
Our 3rd graders get a bit of a music education each day at lunch. Some days they get to request, and some days Mrs. Lisa and I school them in the classics. This week's offerings included Tom Petty, The Beatles, Prince, and Johnny Cash!
Mrs. Henninger's students enjoy Hawaiian day with a good book!
Mrs. Crowther and her student had a bright day!
Team fans found each other. Mrs. Stewart and Mrs. Mendoza have something in common. What a wonderful way to connect with students and staff!
Who Wore it Best?
Mr. Reher and Ms. Hayhurst wore it best on Hawaiian Day!
Just Some Fun at Work
Part of the 1st grade team got caught having fun at work. If you teach elementary, you must also be willing to have fun!
Thank You, PTO and Lakeside Subs!
Thanks to our amazing PTO and Lakeside subs for showing our Teachers some much needed appreciation!

Yellow Car Tags
If you need a yellow car tag please email Mrs. Kuske at firstname.lastname@example.org. Once you do so she will send it home in your students backpack either on the day the request was made or the following school day.
Dropping off items?
Please drop off items on the left hand side table. There are labels and pens, please include your students first and last name, grade level and teacher. All items must be delivered before 9:30am. If you are dropping off medication please pick up the phone and ask for the school nurse.
Picking your child up early?
Be sure to have your driver's license with you at all times. Even if you are in the raptor system just in case. Please plan on arriving before 2:45pm to pick up your student. You may email your student's teacher to let them know if you're picking up early so that they can be sure to have their things packed up before that time. You may not email teachers to send students to the front office at a certain time. For safety, parents must sign out their student on Raptor and have your ID scanned. Mrs. Kuske (Marcy) will then verify that you are authorized and call for your student. If you need assistance please pickup the phone in the foyer.
Thank You Thursdays!

From the Nurse
With a new year back in gear, we wanted to update everyone on this year's Covid Protocol. Instead of students staying home for any single Covid symptom, we have differentiated the symptoms into milder and more serious ones. Please see the different symptom lists here. The number of restricted days has also changed from 10 days to 5 days of isolation.
We hope this helps clarify the process for everyone.
Please don't hesitate to call Nurse Foster if you have questions.

Stay Alert System
StayALERT is a bilingual, confidential website, e-mail, phone and texting avenue for students, teachers, staff, parents and community members to be able to confidentially report unsafe behaviors, suspicious activities, bullying, acts of violence, harassment, and a host of other potential disruptors to school safety. Reportable information will be forwarded in a timely manner to a pre-designated school official for review.
Please Complete the Survey Below for Lago Vista Youth Basketball
WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! Your feedback matters. Our community is growing by leaps and bounds. To ensure that we can support our kiddos and growth -- we need to learn a little bit more about what's important to you as parents. Please help us out and FILL OUT OUR SURVEY.
Recreational play: For the player that is at the beginner level, or who has been playing for around 3 years or less. They are either new to the sport, have some experience playing in camps or at school. Players are focused on learning the fundamentals, developing proper skills, learning how to play on a team and having fun.
Competitive play: For the player who is established with the sport and have been playing for around 3-5 years. They have experience playing on teams in a league and/or tournament setting. They know team basics and fundamentals and are capable of playing at a quick competitive pace in a travel setting.
Note: The results of the survey will be used to help structure our 2022-23 LV Youth Basketball season. All recommendations & changes to the LVYBB season will be the sole decision of the President and LVYBB board members using data, feedback from the community as well as availability of resources and volunteers.
