CHS Weekly Update
Week 22: 2-9-2020
Ginni is Back!
This week we have a 1/2 day and PD on Friday with Ginni Winters. She will be leading us in our continued work on expanding our mindset to become more culturally competent. Please be ready to bring your thoughts and questions as we continue this important work! Our reward is a long weekend. :)
Other Things on My Mind...
- We have the National Tobacco Survey this week in our building. If you don't know about it, don't worry, it is only in certain classes (you would have received an email).
- CSI will be meeting after school on 2/11 in the media center. The team is looking to get feedback on their work to expand and define the CHS Portrait of a Graduate.
- Thanks to Mike Pehote and the rest of the Student Council crew for a fun Winterfest. Great job to our sophomore class for an outstanding Snowball Dance.
- Don't forget to sign up for those observation times with your evaluator!
- At our board meeting this week, we will be honoring our very own Georgie Howe. Please come out and support our celebration of just how wonderful she is.
- Angie Laginess is joining us tomorrow. Stop by room 102 tomorrow to introduce yourself and welcome her to the CHS team!
- Wrestling will be at Trenton on Wednesday for MHSAA Districts. Our team is GOOD this year. If you have a minute, come check it out - matches begin at 5:00 pm.
- In case you're wondering about report cards, we have had a really hard time with getting our Earth Science classes to issue credits and GPA, so we've been working with RESA. I think it is finally sorted out so they should be coming this week.
- Have an amazing week! :)

1/2 Day PD
Ginni Winters - Cultural Competence
The video is actually housed within the form...
New Game
Everyone did so well with our Name That Tune, let's try another spin on it. This time, we will be trying to guess theme songs from TV shows both current and old. Everything is located within the form and as always, please use just your brain (and maybe your family), not any of the ways that you could find the answers. :)
Prizes are just like last time:
1st - $75
2nd - $50
3rd - $25
4th - 10th - $10
11th - 15th - $5
Additionally, some of you have asked how people with the same score are ranked higher or lower. I sort them all out by time, so the earlier you respond (correctly), you get a little bonus.
