Library Link

December 2017/ January 2018

Director's Note

The holidays snuck up on me! I knew they were coming. But yet all of a sudden they are here! So now that I have had my turkey and started my Christmas shopping it is time to get my holiday calendar in order. The library has a few things coming up for all ages so make sure to take a look at our events! I am really having fun at our Adult Make and Take Time. Kelli has come up with some fun and creative projects. Pop in anytime that night- you don’t have to be there the entire time.

Make sure to attend the Library Foundation’s Holiday Tour of Homes December 8th and 9th. Tickets are $15.00 when sold in advance at the library and $20.00 when sold at one of the homes. This year there are three beautiful homes in the Randleman Ridge area as well as the Randleman House. And this year the library is on the tour! We will be decorated to our finest so please consider purchasing a ticket for this great fundraiser! The Library Foundation exists to support current and future building expansion needs.

And speaking of fundraising… the YAC’s have their once a year fundraiser at the end of January. The teens work hard to raise money by collecting pledges for a read-a-thon. The funds they raise stay with YAC for the group to make decisions on how it can best be spent. Read more about this below.

Finally, make sure to pay attention to the days we are closed… and have a great holiday!
