Summer Reading Lists...

As summer is fast approaching, some of you are wondering what books your middle schoolers should be reading or rather what will they actually enjoy reading if we want them to pick up a book instead of their game controller or the iPad. Instead of coming up with my own list (who needs to re-invent the wheel, right?!), I'm stealing from the public libriaries around here. Here are the links to the three that you might use. If all goes well, the links bring you to "teen" pages where kids check out recommendations for great books. If your student has a library card, they can even put books on hold to pick up when they are available.

Happy Summer Reading!!

PS If you're one of those obsessive parents (like me!) who wants to learn more about what it means to be a good parent, I recommend the book, "How Children Succeed" by Paul Tough. It's so great. That's all I will say.
