Discussion question: It looks to me as if Humphrey is participating in Lafayette's Kind and Calm Challenge. Do you agree? Why or why not?

Book of the Month: Amazing Grace by Mary Hoffman & Caroline Binch

Excerpt from Amazon: Grace loves stories, whether they're from books, movies, or the kind her grandmother tells. So when she gets a chance to play a part in Peter Pan, she knows exactly who she wants to be.

Every Wednesday is Weekly Waste Free Wednesday. Won't you help us?

This is a reminder that Wednesday, February 3rd is Waste Free Lunch Day. During the first Wednesday of each month for the remaining months of this school year, LAF Cafeteria Committee will hand out prizes to those who pack a Waste Free Lunch. Judging takes place during lunch. We conducted this challenge last month. We had two winners. The winners names were Elsa S. and Ken B. Next week, we will hold this challenge again. When you are packing your child's lunch, please use reusable containers, not disposable plastic bags, spoons, foils, etc. Thank you.
