Literacy Night
Read Across America Week
- Literacy Night is tonight! Please join us for the viewing of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. You may also visit the Scholastic Book Fair during this time.
100th Day of School
- Today is the 100th day of school! We did many fun activities today during school. Please remind your child that we are only 80 days away from them being second grader. We come to school every day to learn! Please stress the importance of showing their best effort between now and the last day of school.
- Tuesday is Valentine's Day! We will be exchanging our Valentines at the end of the day. Please make sure if your child brings Valentines that they bring a Valentine for every child in their class.
Career Day
- Monday, January 20th, our school will be holding Career Day. We are so excited to hear about different careers!
Read Across America Week
- Read Across America week will be February 27- March 3. Each day your child will have a special way to read.
- Monday- Buddy up to read
- Tuesday- Chew on a good book
- Wednesday - Snuggle up with a good book (your child can bring their favorite stuffed animal)
- Thursday- Hats off to reading (hat day!)
- Book character day parade (Your child will dress up as their favorite book character.)
Early Release day
- Wednesday, February 22nd will be an early release day. Please make sure your child knows how they are getting home.
Make Up Day
- March 10th was originally scheduled as a teacher work day. Due to snow days this day is now regular school day.
