Hamilton Ridge News and Events - January 2021
A Note from Mrs. Z
Dear Hamilton Ridge Families,
Happy New Year! With relief and gratitude, along with a continued focus on safety, I am thrilled to welcome K-2 students back in-person on January 19 and 3-5 students on February 1. We will be preparing during the first two weeks of January to ensure that the additional safety protocols and processes are in place and ready to go for our students. Please see the transition timeline below for additional details. Thank you for your continued work and ability to stay flexible with us as we do all we can to educate our wonderful children through this challenging time.
I wish you a healthy and happy 2021!

K-12 Students Return from Break in Distance Learning - Transition to In-Person Learning Plans
As you know, all elementary schools are planning to transition to an In-Person Learning model, with updated health and safety requirements, beginning in mid January. This means that K-5 students will be In-Person Learning, in our school buildings, five days a week. Every Wednesday will be a two hour early release day to provide staff time for collaboration and planning in the new learning model. Students currently enrolled in the Distance Learning Academy (DLA) will remain in the DLA for the remainder of the school year. Keep Reading During Distance Learning - HRE Library Book Check-Out
While the learning "dial" is pointed at distance learning, students will have the ability to return and borrow books from the school library! Although students will not be able to come into the library to browse in person, they may place books on “hold” and we will check them out and place them on a table in the front entrance of the school for pickup. When you come in to pick up your new items, you may return items to our book drop box. Books that have been returned sit for at least 72 hours before going back into circulation. Students who have books past due, will need to return all materials before taking new ones.
Please watch Seesaw for more specific directions for your child’s grade level. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me: aschwingler@priorlake-savage.k12.mn.us
