A Week in Review
Reading - We have one week left before we finish our fiction unit in Reading. The fiction test for reading will be sometime during the week of October 24th.
Writing - We are continuing to learn about the parts of a narrative essay. This week we focused on plot mapping. Our narrative test will also be during the week of October 24th.
Math - This week we focused on inverse operations and the relationship between operations like multiplication and addition.
Science - We explored the physics behind how planets orbit each other in our solar system.
Next week we will continue looking at the factors for the different objects in our solar system and how they interact.
Social Studies - We took our test on Mapping this week. Next week will be a buffer week. Some of the kids will be retaking parts of the test for a better grade while others are going to be extending their learning about geography.
Kindergarten Buddies - Today we helped test our Kindergarten buddies. We tested them on numbers and shapes. (See Below)
Genius Hour- This week we dove a little deeper into our passions with the help of our classmates. We made our own Wonder Walls and walked around the class writing questions and wonders on our walls. Check out the pictures and video here. https://twitter.com/dtrabilsy
