Around 10,000 of all the worlds fish are found in freshwater


Average of 300 new freshwater fish are found every year


An example would be Grapevine lake or Lewisville lake

Can find turtles snakes and ducks in freshwater lakes or ponds

Brackish Water

Saltier than fresh water, but not as salty as sea water

It is a result of mixing salt and fresh water


Occurs where a river meets a sea


The Wadden region is a brackish water are

Most of the Earth is covered by Salt water



All oceans are salt water


Salt water contains most species of fish


An example of salt water would be the Atlantic ocean or any of the other oceans
