2021 "Drop & Go" Initiative
As the district continues to plan for increasing the amount of time students receive in-person learning, we need to be proactive in identifying and addressing challenges to the successful implementation of the plan. One area that we need your help in improving is the arrival and dismissal procedures in the Brookside Drive parking lot.
This year we have an increased number of students arriving by car to school. We anticipate that the number of cars could potentially double which will lead to increased tardiness and a backup along Brookside Drive if we do not work cooperatively to solve this problem.
In order to improve arrival and drop off procedures, I am asking that everyone adhere to the following guidelines:
Arrival/Drop off
Walk whenever possible
Follow our 2021 Drop & Go Initiative procedures
We understand that this will be a challenge, especially for our youngest Patriots and we will be patient and flexible as students learn how to exit their vehicles independently. Please let us know how our staff can assist you in growing your child's independence.
Dismissal/Pick up
Walk whenever possible
When pulling into the ferry lanes, pull up as far as possible in the lane to reduce the space between cars
When the ferry lanes are full, pull into the parking spaces that run opposite and parallel to the school
Encourage your child/ren to come directly out of school and enter your vehicle as quickly and safely as possible
Be patient when cars are dismissed. It takes approximately ten minutes from dismissal to when cars begin to leave the property.
We appreciate your support in the safe and smooth operation of our school.

Baby Photos Needed!
Ms. Sylvester really would like every child to be part of the Baby Pictures for the 20-21 Yearbook. If you can upload your digital picture please go to Ms. Sylvester's Google Classroom, and upload it into the Google Form that is located in the Stream as soon as possible. If you don't have a digital picture, please bring in an actual hard copy of your photograph by Thursday, February 18, 2021. If you are virtual, perhaps your family can drop it off at Cedar Grove. Please make sure you put your first name and last name on the back of the photograph.
