Military Appreciation Week is one of the most exciting weeks of the year. It's an opportunity for us to honor many of our families. Did you know that one-third of our students are from military families? Plan ahead to help us celebrate Military Appreciation Week April 17-21!

SCDE Parent Climate Survey
If you have not done so, please take the opportunity to complete the Parent Climate survey through the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE). This is not the paper SIC survey completed by our families a few weeks ago.

K-12 parents can take the survey up until April 14th in Ecollect in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Parents may submit one survey for each student, according to SCDE guidelines. Each survey will take about 10-15 minutes to complete. Please read each statement and choose the best response from the choices given. As you read each statement, please consider the entire year rather than recent or isolated events.

On Friday, you can check out Mrs. Lyles (the 2022-23 Teacher of the Year) receiving the WJCL Teacher Feature, a recognition that is well earned! Congratulations, Mrs. Lyles!

These six Coosa students are members of the BCSD Honor Choir and recently had the opportunity to perform with other members from around our school district! We’re proud of these talented students and performers!

We need volunteers for our annual 12th annual Career Day event at Coosa Elementary!

This year the event will be held on Friday, April 21st from 8:00-10:30am. The event will take place in the cafeteria/gymnasium. Each volunteer will have their own table space to set up any materials they would like to share with our students. 😊 All grade levels will participate in this round robin style career showcase. More detailed communication will be sent closer to the event date. Thank you for your continued support of our students at Coosa Elementary. SC READY Testing: Grades 3-5

Please mark your calendars for our end of the year state testing. This testing allows your students to demonstrate their mastery of grade level standards. Please try to schedule appointments around these dates. Additional information will be sent home as we get closer to the testing, and we will also have volunteer opportunities during these dates as testing/hallway monitors.
