WEDNESDAY through THURSDAY
Make a 3-Part Movie with Zimmer Twins
1. Choose a Partner (at least groups of 2- no more than 3)
2. Create accounts on the site below (using school email and password)
3. Watch some sample movies
4. Practice making movies
5. Decide on a plot with your partner(s). 1 of you will do the 1st part of the movie, then the partner(s) will do the next part(s)
6. Make sure your parts fit together!!!
Turn in your links on Google Classroom. Each of you will turn in all links to your movies (you if you have 1 partner, you will both turn in the links for your videos)

1. Create an account on the following site using your SCHOOL EMAIL ADDRESS AND SCHOOL PASSWORD: http://www.photoshow.com/maker
2. You are going to create an informative video about a famous of historical person
3. Your video MUST include a minimum of 15 DIFFERENT pictures of your person
4. Your video MUST include a minimum of 10 FACTS about your person (use the caption feature)
5. Your video MUST include a minimum of 3 reason why this person is important to you
6. Your video MUST include music and your theme must "fit" with the person you chose
7. Your video MUST include a video clip (see me or Julia for help)
8. Your video MUST be able to play on it's own and all the text, etc must be readable and timed so it doesn't go too fast or too slow.

Explore has now transitioned to a technology-focused class. All students have joined a Google Classroom where they will find and turn in all their assignments.
Our first assignment is Friday and is as follows:
Tell me a 30 second to 1 minute story using one of these topics: "Who I Am" OR "What I Want to Be."
Students are expected to "pull out the stops," and show me your skills! Include images, video, music, etc. You must use WEB-BASED programs to create your presentation (NO POWERPOINT, PREZI, ANIMOTO OR GOOGLE SLIDES). The link below has a handy list of some you may choose, but feel free to pick one not on this list. There is also another list below the first . . .

MONDAY through FRIDAY
Students will finish our FIRST ASSIGNMENT this week in the computer lab. This is a group webquest over theatre history. The group members are listed on the hand out in the back. There are 7 groups. ALL MEMBERS ARE EXPECTED TO PRESENT A PART OF THEIR RESEARCH. Presentations should be MEMORIZED and students speak from knowledge rather than reading large chunks of text off the slides.
Due to some technical issues, we will be moving the presentation dates back to Thursday and Friday, November 19 and 20. Students, if necessary, may change to using Google Slides from the interactive timeline if they are still experiencing glitches.

Students are beginning their next half of EXPLORE, which will focus on DRAMA, but also technology and presentation skills. Students will be joining a Google Classroom and begin learning how to effectively use Google products to enhance their learning in both this class as well as all others.

Students are to begin a 3-Dimensional Project in which they create a mythological monster or god of their own. HERE is the link to possible project ideas. The key is to have items which may displayed as sculptural art- therefore I am asking students NOT to draw these projects, but rather be inspired to create something which is 3-D. Students will work on the project during class time and at home, with the project being due on MONDAY, OCTOBER 12th.
