News and Information for the Dublin Elementary School Learning Community
A Message from Mr. Drewno
Please note that the first day of school is Monday, August 31st.
More information about the day will be coming soon. There is information below regarding the first day of school for KINDERGARTEN students.
Regardless of what PATH you are on, please be sure you complete your student's back-to-school online packet. The directions are listed in the body of this newsletter.
Though we are not physically at school for learning, it is important that our children understand that school is happening from home. I have included some tips below to help ease your child back into the "Learning From Home" mindset.
Please continue to enjoy the beautiful Michigan summer and have a great week.
Jeff Drewno, Principal

ALL FAMILIES MUST COMPLETE!

The District will be using the Family Access/Skyward system to automate the process for updating and completing documents such as the emergency card, Food Service application, FERPA form, fee payments, Code of Conduct, and other important annual school forms that require parent approval.
Skyward Family Access is how parents access the back-to-school packet.
A Skyward Family Access parent account is required in order to complete the Online Back-to-School Packet process for all schools. (A parent account username is alphanumeric - SMITHMAD000; a student account username is the student's ID number - 1234567.)

Voluntary Student Accident Insurance
WALLED LAKE CONSOLIDATED SCHOOLS DOES NOT CARRY HEALTH OR ACCIDENT INSURANCE FOR STUDENTS. If your child is injured while at school, medical costs are the responsibility of the parents and/or guardians.
As a service to students and their families, our District is making available a student accident insurance plan for your child at a very nominal cost. The District offers this program because of trends in rising family health and dental insurance costs, increased deductibles, co-payments or lack of health or dental insurance coverage.
REASONS TO PURCHASE THIS COVERAGE:
- Deductible and co-pays in your health plan. Many health plans have increased the amount of out-of-pocket expenses.
- No insurance.
This plan will provide benefits for medical expenses incurred because of an accident. If you have other insurance, benefits can be applied to your deductible or co-pay. If you have no other insurance, this will become your primary accident plan.
TO PURCHASE COVERAGE ONLINE (by Credit/Debit Card) go to:
www.1stAgency.com/voluntaryaccidentcoverage.htm -- Follow directions by choosing STATE and SCHOOL DISTRICT. Visa or MasterCard is accepted.
TO PAY WITH CHECK OR MONEY ORDER, PRINT BROCHURE PDF from First Agency’s website at www.1stAgency.com/voluntaryaccidentcoverage.htm -- Follow directions by choosing STATE and SCHOOL DISTRICT.
All questions regarding this coverage should be directed to First Agency, Inc., at (269) 381-6630 or toll free at (800) 243-6298.
We are pleased to make this student accident insurance plan available.
