Hawk Happenings
April 13th - 17th
Welcome back from Spring Break!
Online learning resumed on Monday! Teachers have uploaded assignments and students will need to check in and submit work as they were before the break. We are planning to continue online learning until at least May 1st. I will update parents as soon as I receive word about the long term plans for completing this school year.
This month is Earthquake Awareness and we would have participated in an earthquake drill at school. I've included information in this newsletter that you can use at home to better practice and prepare for an earthquake.
April is also POETRY MONTH. Mrs. Albrecht is going to be sharing poetry activities on our website, Facebook and Instagram pages, so watch for her posts.
We also want to encourage families to please respond to the 2020 CENSUS! It's super easy to log in and be counted. Information from the census is used to help fund our schools and special programs that benefit children, so please log on and participate today!
Have a great week!
~Mrs. Jordan
P.S. Our virtual Book Fair is open through Thursday, April 16th! Check it out! Details below.
RETURN YOUR LIBRARY BOOKS!
We have collected books that were inside students desks at the school and will get those returned and logged back in the system. Don't worry if your library books were at the school. We have taken care of those already!
GREAT UTAH SHAKE OUT - APRIL 16th!
Given recent events, this couldn't be more relevant and our hope is that we can bring the earthquake drill to your home this year. I am attaching resources you use to help your entire family prepare for what to do in an earthquake. It's a good idea to run through scenarios and practice.
Please send us pictures of your family practicing an earthquake drill!
