M.A.R.C.H UPDATE
WE ARE A GO FOR SATURDAY.
We are counting down…just a few hours left to ask for sponsorships. Who have you been meaning to ask? Check in with your neighbors, co-workers, friends, and family. Every dollar helps and it goes straight to our band organization. The goal is $400 per student.
All cash and checks must be turned in by 4:00 PM Friday, March 6 in our band mail box located in the school’s front office. Be sure your student(s) name is on the envelope. ☺
Here are the links again for the MARCH 2020:
Direct family and friends to : https://www.roswellband.com/calendar-events/march/ Donors should write in your student’s name in the memo during check out.
Access the MARCH 2020 Sales Kit for flyers, tips, and other ideas! Go to: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/zjvikv21vhpdt77/AABhCwYfXSJNFLlB_W0UZxqca?dl=0
Students and parents are to arrive at the band room at 8:00 AM for Check-in. We should be back at the band room by 4:00 PM. Lunch will be provided.
We ask for everyone (students and adult volunteers) to bring from home: $5 for lunch, a full water bottle, a pair of work gloves, and sunblock (if you wish). AND, if you have a rake, hoe, shovel and/or garden trowel, please bring those tool(s) too. Your student(s) can use the tool(s), or we’d love to borrow extra tool(s) at any of the other work sites. Be sure your name is written on the tool(s) somewhere.
It’s been raining all week. So dress appropriately ! Warm comfortable clothing, long pants and long sleeve shirt, closed toe shoes/sneakers or even boots! No flip flops, tshirts and shorts.
Our Co-Leaders are the Dal Cerro’s. For any questions, here is their contact information:
Michael Dal Cerro 678-372-5971
Marineli Dal Cerro 678-467-8839
Our Schedule:
8:00 a.m.: Check-in at the band room
Everyone starts here. Coffee and doughnuts will be available to everyone!
The t-shirts have arrived. And they will be ready for distribution during check-in.
Parents , if you are driving your student(s) to the band room, please stay. Don’t leave. Stay, come in to the band room and have a coffee. We will then need parents to take their student(s) to the work site.
Each student to provide $5 at the check-in table. This will help cover the price of lunch. The lunch will be distributed during check in.
Garden tools and supplies can be made available for the teams.
The adult volunteers for each work site are to pick up: a work site sign, water, first aid kit and tools/supplies if req.
8:30 a.m.: Leave the band room to go to the work sites. Parents bring their student(s).
12 noon: Lunch at the work site
3:30 p.m.: Leave the work site and go to the band room for check out. Students will need their parents to take them back to the band room.
4:00 p.m.: Check-out at the band room
Ice cream time! And return tools and supplies
Work Sites
We have 11 work sites. Students by now should have selected their preferred worksite. Some light rebalancing was needed here and there to ensure we are covered across all 11 of our worksites.
We still have SIX VOLUNTEER SLOTS open. Please help! It really is a lot of fun, and the work we do makes such a difference. Click here to sign-up:

SENIOR PARENTS: MEET & GREET WITH PROSPECTIVE BAND FAMILIES – 3/23
We would like to welcome all seniors and their parents to a Meet & Greet scheduled for Monday, March 23 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the Band Room. We are inviting Rising 9th graders and their parents to join us in an informal setting so that they can meet you all, ask questions about your band experience, and get excited about joining the Hornet Swarm!
Please RSVP to admin@roswellband.com to let us know if you can come.
Since it’s being held in the early evening, we thought it would be nice to offer our guests some light refreshments. If possible, please sign up to bring something to share. Thank you for helping welcome our prospective band families!

REGISTRATION NIGHT MONDAY, 3/30
All new and returning marching band and concert band members should plan to attend Registration Night (formerly known as “Commitment Night) on Monday, 3/30 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Band Room. Parents and students are welcome. We will be distributing sign-up forms, taking initial deposits, talking about band camp, reviewing volunteer opportunities and more. (If you have a friend or neighbor interested in learning more about marching band or color guard, please bring them with you.) It’s going to be a fun and informative evening!
SENIOR PHOTOS
It's that time of year to get your photo taken for the band banquet. Every year we take individual senior photos, mat and frame them. Everyone at the band banquet gets to sign the mats and we will frame them and you get to take your signed, framed photo home that night. There is absolutely no charge; it’s the band's gift to you! No matter what band (Marching, Classroom, Color Guard, Winter Guard, Indoor Drumline, Jazz Band) you participate.
Please contact Mary Jane Hendrickson to schedule your session:
