March

Things To Know

Two major events this week.

Some students are out on March 2nd to help Libbey with Kids Heart Challenge. Your child should have brought home a permission slip for this and will be leaving from WMS to head over to help.

We will also be taking the entire student body over to see the Drama production at the high school on March 2nd at 10:30 am. We will be back before lunch. If you do not want your child to attend the production, please contact the school ASAP.

Be on the look out.

We are having a lot of trouble with phones and watches. This includes cheating, taking video and pictures of class, and making and receiving phone calls. Please help us out with having a talk with your child about appropriate phone use. This will be a great follow up to our recent safe social media conversation here at school.

Parent Teacher Conferences for Spring are back!!

We will host parent teacher conferences on Tuesday, March 7th from 3:45 pm - 7:15 pm and again on Tuesday, March 14th from 3:45 - 7:15 pm. Please remember the quarter ends on the Friday, March 10th. It is never too late to come chat with the teachers.

Citizenship Rubric

We are excited to bring back our Citizenship Rubrics. We will be covering in these during homeroom this month. We will be focusing on engagement: prepared, on task, productive, and use of resources; responsibility: actions, safety, academic, and words; and respect: adults, peers, yourself, and property. At this time grades will not be tied to the rubric.

Spring Break

Don't forget about Spring Break!! I know we won't!

Counselor Corner

It’s so hard to believe we’re coming up on 4th quarter! We’ll be super busy!

8th grade had a successful trip to the high school a couple weeks ago, and got their classes requested for next year! Their schedules are NOT SET – the high school takes the requests from all of next year’s students and then builds the master schedule around that. Our 8th graders really seemed to enjoy their time at the high school, which is great news since we’ll be going over there a couple more times before the end of the year! No dates set yet… we’ll get more information out to you as soon as plans get solidified. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Sandlian!
