Holy Moly...it's the beginning of May! How did that happen?! There are 20 days of school left...20 DAYS! We have a lot of fun and exciting things going on this month such as...the talent show, 5th grade nautical mile, field day, field trips, awards assembly, kindergarten graduation, 5th grade graduation, and the 5th grade woody island trip. WOW! Please keep an eye on our weekly newsletter as well as seesaw messages from teachers to stay up to date on all that is happening at this exciting time of year.

With one month of school left we are busy gathering enrollment info to plan for the Fall.

If you haven't already, please let the office know what your plans are for the 2023-24 school year. We know living situations and student needs can change over the summer so even if you are unsure, let us know that as well. It just helps us know who we may need to confirm with when we get back after summer break and we can get a jump start on preparing student records if needed.

If you want to deposit lunch money with a credit card through your PowerSchool parent portal,

please remember that you will need to access the online version.

You can find that link on the www.KIBSD.org website, under the FAMILIES tab.

KIBSD does not support the PowerSchool App, so you won't be able to pay fees that way.

Even though some student info is viewable on the app,

it does not connect to our PowerSchool lunch or activity fee accounts.

We are also always happy to accept cash or checks for student lunch accounts in the office.

Call us @907-486-7500 if you have questions or need any help with parent portal access.

Start the process and be ready to help out at school.

Once background checks are approved, they are valid for three years.

Just email volunteer@kibsd.org and let them know that you would like to volunteer at North Star.

The Human Resources department will walk you through the rest.
