Welcome to another wonderful week of school! We have finished NWEA and are working in our Interactive Notebooks each day. It was a pleasure to see so many of you last week. Thank you for all that you do at home each day.
Please note that in your child's folder, September started on the wrong day. I will just follow the dates on the calendar even though the day of the week will be incorrect. My apologies!
We are done! The kids did an amazing job, and I am so proud of every single student. They truly used the life skill of work ethic. We will go over results during conferences which will take place next month!
Another way for me to keep in touch is the use of remind 101. Many times I will just send a text reminder instead of an email. To receive messages via text, text @201516ue to 81010. You can optout of messages at anytime by replying, 'unsubscribe @201516ue'. Trouble using 81010? Try texting @201516ue to (317) 542-3999 instead. I hope you will join!!
The summer reading Watermelon Party has been rescheduled to this Thursday. There is still time to submit documentation!
Be on the lookout for the informational packet this week! The kids are pumped about it and look forward to seeing how far they will go this year! This is our only fundraiser during the year so your kiddo won't be asked to sell wrapping paper, trash bags, or cookie dough. Every penny raised comes into our school to help fund amazing things for your child. Thank you for all that you do and your support at home!
I think that's all for now! Have a great week. :)

Social Thinking Words for the Week
"Thinking with your Eyes": If you are looking at an object or person, it shows you are thinking about that object or person. When you use your eyes to focus on something, there is more than looking going on. Thinking is going on too! Looking equals thinking! Your child's teacher might say in the classroom, "Let me see you looking at me so that I know you are thinking with your eyes about what I am getting ready to tell you."
