National Novel Writing Month - Every student is a novelist!

On November 1st, we entered a challenge to each write a novel of 4,000 words or more. The students are doing a great job so far, working on their writing both in and out of class. Keep encouraging them to write in order to meet the challenge or even exceed their own expectations!

All novels must be 4,000 words or more by Monday, December 2nd.

Parent Cafe

Thursday, Nov. 21st, 9am

Blended Learning Center

Renaissance parents are invited to join us for our next monthly Parent Cafe on Thursday, November 21 at 9:05am in the Blended Learning Center. At this month’s Parent Cafe we will visit Renaissance classrooms and parents will have an opportunity to see a sample of the magical teaching and learning that happens at Renaissance each day.

RSVPs are enabled for this event.

We cordially invite all Renaissance and Mathson community members to enjoy our students’ performance of “Alice in Wonderland, Jr.!” This performance is directed by the Audacity Performing Arts Project, Inc., and will take place in the cafeteria on Friday November 22, beginning promptly at 5:00pm. Don’t be late!

Please join us prior to the Thanksgiving break for a community feast! Bring a potluck dish that you can share with the Renaissance family; sixth and eighth grade families are invited to bring a side dish to share, and seventh grade families are invited to bring dessert or drinks. We will be providing the main dish: turkeys and ham. We will meet in the cafeteria beginning at 6:30pm on Friday, November 22 -- shortly after the Audacity performance. We hope to see you there!
